The Feast of the Holy Spirit is a religious ritual of popular Catholicism, of Azorean origin, found in different countries and regions of Brazil, assuming specific characteristics according to the sociocultural context in which it takes place. In the community of Jutica, located in the municipality of Tefé-AM, this manifestation presents particular features that distinguish it from similar celebrations, especially due to the strong influence of Afro-Brazilian culture, evidenced by the use of drums, flags, and other symbolic elements. It is a highly ritualized festivity, organized in advance and marked by the abundance of food, the preparation of tables for visitors and the Empire of the Holy Spirit, as well as the role of the caxeiro, responsible for conducting the rituals through drum playing and the singing of traditional chants. This study aims to analyze the organization of the feast, with emphasis on its backstage aspects, seeking to understand the meanings of rituals and symbols present in local popular culture. Methodologically, the research adopts a qualitative approach, combining bibliographic, documentary, and field procedures, including direct observation and analysis of historical and visual records. The results indicate that the feast represents not only a religious manifestation but also a space for social integration, transmission of traditional knowledge, and reaffirmation of cultural identity, highlighting processes of religious syncretism and the valorization of Afro-Brazilian practices.
